The Bar 1 Betting Irish Sprint Cup trap draw for round one of this exciting annual competition where the fastest dogs compete for a grand prize pot of €20,000 took place this week. This prestigious race attracts greyhounds from all over the country making it one of the main highlights of the Dundalk Stadium calendar.
The 54 dogs will run in 9 heats this Saturday, the fastest four then qualify for the next round which takes place the following Saturday. The rounds continue then every Saturday with the big final taking place on Saturday 15th August where there will be a full day’s activities and entertainment.
Horse racing takes place the afternoon of the 15th August with kids activities both free and paid rides available. Live music can then be enjoyed in the ground and first floor bars including the ever popular Vertigo and Paddy Byrne. This is then followed by a 12 race greyhound card featuring the Bar 1 Betting Irish Sprint Cup Final 2026.
