Sunshine, Style, and Spectacle at Dundalk Stadium’s Ladies Day 2025

Dundalk, Co. Louth – July 12th, 2025 – Glorious sunshine, thrilling racing, and fabulous fashion made for an unforgettable occasion at Dundalk Stadium’s flagship event – Ladies Day 2025.

Basking under blue skies, racegoers descended on the Co. Louth venue from across Ireland and beyond, with every corner of the All-Weather Stadium buzzing with atmosphere and activity. From early afternoon through to the late evening, Dundalk played host to an exceptional dual racecard – with eight exhilarating horse races during the day and a full greyhound racing programme under the lights.

The highlight of the evening was the prestigious Time Dundalk International, one of Ireland’s top greyhound events, which saw Cheap Sandwiches emerge victorious in front of a packed grandstand. The winning greyhound was trained by Graham Holland and owned by Bark Wahlberg Syndicate.

Off the track, the fashion stakes were equally high. The Ladies Day Style Competition, generously sponsored by Fairways Hotel and Border Boutique Hire, drew a huge number of elegant entrants. After fierce competition, it was Megan Cunniss from Galway who was crowned Best Dressed Lady. A clerical officer based at Galway City University Hospital, Megan wowed the judges on her very first visit to Dundalk Stadium.

Her standout look featured a stunning green two-piece ensemble from Pia Margot Boutique, perfectly complemented by a bespoke headpiece from Marc Millinery. Judges Suzanne Ryan of Suzanne Ryan Millinery and Grainne McCoy – Apprentice finalist, beauty entrepreneur, radio host and influencer – praised her timeless elegance and impeccable presentation.

Throughout the day, the Stadium was alive with live music, great food, and a vibrant social scene that matched the racing excitement stride for stride. The team at Dundalk Stadium extend a warm thank you to all who attended and helped make Ladies Day 2025 such a spectacular success.

Dundalk Stadium continues to host racing every Friday and Saturday, offering exceptional value this summer with their €29 Restaurant Offer, which includes a delicious main course and panoramic views of all the racing action.

Looking ahead, the next major event at the venue is the Bar One Racing Dual Race Day & Family Fun Day on Friday 15th August. Another thrilling day of horse and greyhound racing awaits, with live music and a host of children’s activities making it the perfect outing for all ages. The feature race of the day will be the Bar One Racing Sprint Cup Final. Heats begin this Saturday, July 19th, continuing weekly in the lead-up to the big finale – another great reason to visit this modern, vibrant venue.
