But in just 12 eventful months, the Stadium has been transformed by a €23 million redevelopment introducing Ireland's 1st all-weather horse track. This redevelopment and introduction of all-weather racing in Ireland confirms Dundalk Stadiums status as Ireland's 1st all-weather horse track, Ireland's 1st floodlit horse track and Europe's 1st dual purpose horse and greyhound facility.
The extension to the ground floor now features 'Silk's Bar & Carvery' with several flat screen televisions, full service carvery and bar which is open on horse race nights and are available for private functions such as wedding receptions and birthdays.
